After almost a year since their first single, the band New Bay released a new single on Wednesday, January 14th titled "Pretty Little Liar." The band also announced a change of branding with the new band name of Earleigh Heights.
The band stated that the name change was primarily due to dissatisfaction with the New Bay title. They stated that they had been meaning to change the name but due to the initial announcement of the name, they decided to maintain the name until band member Owen Cress (guitar/trombone) departed officially from the band.
"Pretty Little Liar" shares similar sounds to "Would You, Could You," which was New Bay's first and only single. The new single maintains that gritty electric guitar pop-rock sound with a little less SKA-inspired horns. No official statement has been made on whether or not this single will be the only single we can expect this year.
